When awake our Toby is pretty cheeky.
We found him yesterday doing some gardening. Actually I know my Mum has some photos of me being similarly helpful when I was a baby. And of course while I had the camera out, Joel asked me to take a picture of him climbing.
I love this photo.
As for Ben, this was what he was doing. The pain relief had just worn off and he was feeling pretty miserable

Catching up

(Clockwise from top left)Ben, Toby, Sam (8), Thomas (6), Joel, Daniel (6months) and Joshy G. So these are our friends kids. All boys. We caught up with them before Christmas and had a swim at their place. We lived near them at College and spent many a night up late playing board games with the baby monitor on in the background. Those were the days. Now they live not far away and we hardly see them. The kids get on really well though. And brotherly love. AAaahhhhh!!! Joely misses his brother while he's at school. Ben was really nervous on his first day of school but he put on a brave face (and so did we). We've been praying for a year about Ben's school, his teacher and any friends he would make. We found it a big thing sending Ben off to school. He's vulnerable to all the influences of older kids and you can't protect them as much as you have been able to until now. It's the first big thing that makes you relinquish control and completely trust God. It's so bad that we don't give God control of the things that we can manage on our own. I trust God for protection over Ben and the other two boys and I am praying more now than I was that our boys will have some sense for themselves that they can rely on God to help them make smart choices and comfort them when they feel alone. It's hard being a parent.
