Wedded Bliss

On Saturday we went to a beautiful Wedding down by the lake. The Bride and Groom are a young couple from our Young Adults Bible Study and we've known them for over 4 years. They are so excited about their future together which I hope is depicted in the photos of them. As you can see the day was glorious and Richard was their DJ for the reception. The photo cutout is of a guy working short term in QLD who's in our Bible Study and couldn't come down this weekend. He popped up everywhere!

Egg or Wrapper

Ben and Jaydon Ford. We went as supportive Christian parents to the easter scripture assembly today to be surprisingly not embarassed! I know that sounds harsh.... but sometimes...... Anyway it was really good. Simple, easy to remember and Ben's been singing the song all afternoon. It all made sense. But then this afternoon we went for a picnic lunch followed by the all-loved Easter Hat Parade. We have 9 more of them to attend. Shoot me now. Someone told me once that crossed arms means you don't want to be where ever you are. He had his arms folded the entire time his class was on parade.He was smiling though.

Rich and I might be using free tickets to the movies tomorrow night. Anybody seen anything lately that we'll enjoy? Has anyone heard of Priceless, Scoop or Sixty Six?

Soccer Star

I can't believe I'm a 'Soccer Mum'. Athough I guess with Ben it was inevitable, but it feels weird. AND he scored 2 of the 3 goals for our team - the Charlestown United Hammers U6s. We drew 3 - 3 against Garden Suburb Hummingbirds last Saturday in our teams first game (a friendly). Our first practice was only the day before for 40 minutes and the first time we'd met any of the team including the coach. Rich and I sat the entire game thrilled that the players didn't all swarm around the ball in a huddle as we'd imagined they would. The coaches are allowed to coach on the field during the game. A real help. Some of the kids just plain sat down in the middle of the field. Or ran the wrong direction. Not that you can get much through to the kids. It's very confusing. Sorry. Our computer is having a meltdown at the thought of uploading all or our proud moments from the game. Stay posted for pics.
